Hi there, I’m Brooke Porter, content creator, strategist and the head honcho at TDRC.
I spent the first decade of my career chasing the traditional path of corporate life, working in leadership roles for Woolworths Limited HQ, and as much as I tried to deny it, I knew I was a round peg in a square hole. It took the birth of my daughter, Frankie, for me to realise it was time to go all-in on following my passion.
I leapt into the small business world, opening The Corner Store at Concord with two friends, selling meal kits (think brick-and-mortar version of HelloFresh) from our shop front, and later on in IGA and The Foodery. For the first time in a long time, I got to flex my creative muscle by designing the store fit-out, doing the photographic work and learning food styling from Justine Poole, food stylist for the likes of Donna Hay and Jamie Oliver. For me, doing this kind of work was like coming home to a big warm hug.
Not realising at the time, but this was the beginning of TDRC – a place where I get to combine my great loves; styling, photography, digital marketing and strategic planning. I get a real kick out of seeing the emotional shift my clients experience after we’ve gone through the creative process of shining a new light on what they do best.
